Great tool for volunteer engagement and training

i have been using animaker for a couple of years and it has helped me to easily prepare animations for training and engagement of volunteers at the non-profit I work for.

Scammers

Scammers, who after canceling the subscription illegally charge you without warning. They tell you that the money refund has been sent and that it will take time to arrive, but after 4 weeks it still does not appear. I am thinking of taking legal action against the company.

I can make a video in just one click. But at a moment I'm facing a probelm. it is almost a great platform to animate a video.

Simplicity and Perfection

It is super easy to use. The interface is very user-friendly any beginner can also get used to it in 2 mins. Designing complex animations is easy and can be done in 10 mins

I really liked the tool

I really liked the tool, it has a lot of functionalities. I have only had some problems with the audios but nothing that can't be solved. I highly recommend it for short and explanatory videos.

Wanted to give it 5 stars!!

I am so sad to give it 3 stars as the EXCELLENT customer service should make it 5 stars. But I do want to get Animaker's attention, and they do need to make some changes. (Sorry in advance for the amount of capitalized words, but it's how I feel right now.) I spend WAY too much time looking for non-existent backgrounds or objects. For instance, there is a bowling bg, but NO character's action is bowling. They have bg's for a basketball court, tennis court a baseball field, archery and ice skating, and NO CHARACTER'S ACTION IS DOING ANY OF THESE SPORTS!!! They have 1 movie theatre bg where every chair faces front, but EVERY SINGLE character sits off to the side. There are WAY TOO FEW animated property objects, and I can only either choose a fat person or a skinny person. NO character pushes a baby stroller, NO character's action is lying down when SLEEP is a choice of expression, WAY TOO FEW template options...!!! I will still continue to use Animaker as it's the best software for my needs right now. But I do wish they could make some of these changes.

I love Animaker

I love Animaker! Lots of customizable options. I interact with a lot of older adults and people with disabilities and find plenty of images that make them feel included and welcome. So, I love the diversity and inclusiveness. Totally recommend. My only note: watch your downloads! If you exceed, you have to pay to output. I learned my lesson the hard way :) PS, customer service is super responsive and very friendly.

GREAT COSTOMER SUPPORT!

I am an older person that has some experience with graphics. So it was pretty intuitive. Just had a few glitches but figured them out. I wanted to make a gif that could be sent via text message. The gif came out very blurry on the text message so that was not successful. But thanks to your support. I went back and re- downloaded it as a video. And it was able to be posted to Facebook but I could not send it via text. And it be seen without being downloaded by the recipient. I have not had time to read all the fine print to find out. If I'm limited as to how many times a month, I can use it without paying. But as a person that just likes to send. Thank yous that are fun to look at. I appreciate having the ability to do it on your program.

Animaker was a great tool to make an animation video! It has several options to create a great video, but it could be much greater if you could add the following elements: 1. In the section Character building, it could be great if also you could add a section for animated animals, or objects (like a lion, or a robot, a plant, etc) 2. There is the option of downloading the video with subtitles but there is no way to share is Social Media 3. I saw that in the smart movements of the characters, there is no option of a simple spinning in the same axe. 4. It would be great also, if any character or object could be changed of perspective. Seen it from up, down, from a side, from the back. For example I wanted to put my character watching TV but showing his back. 5. The emotions of the character. Some of them, they actually look the same. The happy one and the shocked one they look exactly the same. There is no difference.

Animaker has been a helpful tool to get my footing in creating brief videos for clients, however, the site does have some bugs that seem to recur over time (specifically issues around grouped images). Support has been able to resolve my issue within 24 hours each time this pops up, but for more experienced animators you may want to try your luck elsewhere

You get many backgrounds to pick from, amazing features for the characters, I especially love the smart move feature. It brings your video to live. The subtitles are also great, you can pick from many fonts and colours. There are a lot of options to choose from even if you don’t have animaker pro.

I'm so shocked by the lack of morals of Animaker. As many other people here say the same thing, Animaker charged me for free plan (that they clearly said I could use it free on their email) but suddenly they said I'm already under monthly starter plan without my agreement and notification (of course, no notification, because I didn't order it yet). I spent more than a month to make animation video using Animaker under free plan. So they know it's hard for me to refuse paying. How sly of Animaker!!!!! Interestingly, the customer service team have been replying to my email quickly but when I requested them to explain why they charged me for free plan and why they add me to monthly starter plan without agreement, they stopped replying. I guess this kind of inhumanity and insincerity are normal for Indian people but it doesn't work here. Please don't waste your time for them!!! They are shameless!!! I wasted one month of work....Because no one want to work with scammers. Give me back time of one month!!!

Amazing products with great customer support

Great customer support with timely follow ups. You can make a great training video from Animaker's various templates. You can also do things like creating your own characters, adding voice (lip sync), integrating your existing Zoom video recording and building it on further on Animaker. So far, I have a positive experience waith them and can recommend Animaker if you are looking for a user-friendly video creating tool.

Unfortunately not a great experience with this company , we had a trial of the software , but what isn't clear in the trial is you actually commit to monthly payments and and if you do not cancel by the end the subscription automatically starts, payment was taken and despite being told they would refund the payment to date it hasn't happened and no further contact from the company - customer service and support was not a priority in this case not a good sign moving forward - if you decide to deal with this company

All doubts i had in my way were cleared either through already posted videos or i could get instant help of company professional, even at midnight. Software itself is very easy. I was able to make a decent video in just 2 days.

They charge without using…

They charge accounts without using their services. Any other subscription plan on the planet even if you forget about it it cancels it self and notify you after the first or second try to get paid. This is not the case here. They charge month by month even if they fail to get paid and increase the charging amount month by month. DO NOT PROVIDE YOUR CARD INFO TO THEM. They also lock you out of managing your payment and card info until you pay them. Even for months you didn’t used them. AVOID in any way. There are much more reliable and better solutions out there. Update 6/3/2023 They reached out on 27/2/2023 responding to my email where I was explaining my issue and said that they wold cancel my subscription so their system wouldn't try to charge me anymore and also I should be able to delete my financial info (card details) from their site. Still no action taken from them.

Never again

In December I suddenly noticed that Animaker had started charging money from my credit card after not using their website for months. I requested my accounts there to be deleted on January 4. But still, on the 16. they had taken another $35. So 12 days after my accounts are deleted they still charge money. Now I have contacted my credit card company, because this is obviously wrong. I will never have an account there again.

RUN AWAY

Everything seemed to be working well on the free plan until the day you switch to a different plan! Transparent images arrive with a black background and videos can become stuck for hours in the exporter. I currently have a video that has been stuck for 1 day in their exporter, and the support is EXTREMELY slow. It's been over 7 days now and I am stuck. In these conditions, you obviously ask for a refund, but due to the slow processing, it falls through. I have sent several emails to help"at"animaker.com and have received no response from them.

I believe that Animaker is the perfect video-making tool for people who are just getting started with video-making. It is mostly intuitive but there are a few parts that were confusing to me when I started but it is easy to learn. Overall, it is perfect for beginners.

I actually make videos just for some fun. Because of Animaker`s advanced tools it is easy to make videos. Only because of Animaker it is possible to make videos in just 10-20 minutes/seconds. There is no need to sit on your device for hours to make just one video or even GIF.

I Used Animaker fill years back and I really liked the aplication. Everything was very simple and easy to use. After few years without using animaker for personal reasons I'am finaly returning but I find out a change to the program, I know you guys are trying your best to give us the best experience with animaker and will take me some time to get to know all the tools again. But I kind think it was better before when you click on the character and the tools option pop up near the character. Everything was near in the same place and to me was easyest for someone who was using animaker for the first time. Now I think will take mor time to get to know all the tools position. I had an issue trying to make a voice over to a character, his lips was not moving, I did't know how to fix, but Abishek helped me with that problem. Now we don't use the microfone simbol for that, we need to access the function lip-sync on the top bar. As I said will take me some time to get to know the tools location, but I'am happy with the amazing things that I can creat with animaker. I like to thank's Abishek for his support that he gave, he was great. Thank you everyone for trying your best to improve animaker so all of the users can have a great experience.

More like 4.5 stars. A very nice tool to create animations with a high variety of scenes, characters, actions and so on. Sometimes a bit slow but still alright. I had a bug in the exported video but the support team did everything to solve that problem for me and now I have the perfect animation :)

It really helped me make the cartoon…

I really helped me make the cartoon video but it was dead slow!! So unfortunate, I was waiting for hours to complete my video because every click or edit loaded for more than 10 minutes… And it’s takes a whole half and hour to save me the final video. I thought it was my computer but then I used my sister’s. My wifi was also doing well I have to say that the help team is great though! As soon as I asked a question they responded very quickly!

Animaker is a fantastic software for making animated videos of all kinds. There is an incredible array of prebuilt and ready to implement animations, characters, images, sounds, etc. The character design feature is particularly brilliant as you can assign any of the animations to your character. Probably even more impressive than the actual tools are the people of Animaker. They are always available and very helpful, efficient and friendly. Which is always a major selling feature. Animaker has been perfect for my project!

Great tool and top notch customer service! ‐---------------- Updated: 01/26/2023 Revised to 1 star, their support is only good when you have an active paid subscription. I got a copyright claimed for using one of their instrumental song as a background music for my animation. For some reason they couldn't fix the issue with the licensing after a week and even ensuring me multiple times that it's properly licensed on their end. Eventually got back to me with "after taking a closer look at your channel, we can see that you've been creating content with our music in a stand-alone format for the purpose of creating a music listening experience, which is not covered by any of our licenses" probably just so I can stop bothering them about it. Out of my 15 videos, there are at most 2 to 3 sounds/songs coming from them.

While it takes some time to find the best way to use Animaker and it is tedious work sometimes to get the animation right, it is also suitable for newbies. Pretty great functionalities and wide range of characters and options. Some bugs however, when downloading : 20s uploaded out of 2 mins, missing features, … Many back and forth with the help desk before getting it right. Best not being in a rush since it might take more than 30 mins to hear back from them but very helpful nonetheless. Treacherous Elite photos that come out first when searching with the toolbar (15 dollars each). But all in all, decent experience.

My favorite thing about Animaker is the "customer support team." They are always responsive and do an amazing to assist you for anything you need. The platform has a lot of potential. But the customer support team is absolutely world-class.

Animaker does not send you a refund after fully charged and used 1 month.

I ordered Animaker and I was charged 681,50 Euro I immediately requested a refund, and they told me to request this after my first month was due. I did this according to the request, but they never responded. I am now 2 months to get my refund but no reaction no confirmation. they are a scam as they do not react to many emails. Watch out as they do not meet their promiss.

There is better ways to make a video.

My class did a project for it and we had to make a scary story. All people did was complain about how hard and confusing it was. At first, I thought that it was fun. But as I got further, it got less fun and more confusing. We did it for another class and the teacher didn't even know how to work it, it's so hard. And you have to buy premium if you want to be able to make more people and use certain stuff. I just think that there is better ways to make a video.

A very scandalize company

I was looking for a video creator for my classroom for students to create commercials. While looking, I came across Animaker and thought it would look like something I'd be interested in. I wanted to try it for a month before buying the program. However, it looked as if I was paying the $10/ monthly cost, however, it charged me for the $120 yearly subscription. I immediately tried to get a refund, but the online salesperson refused and stated that I HAD to do the monthly subscription and would be given 50% refund of my purchase after that. Not cool, as it was completely misleading with the cost, I did not use it and now WILL not use it.

Amazing app for beginners

Amazing app to start the animation from scratch. It's a little slow sometimes but that's worth it if you are getting all these features for free. I created 2 animations till now and I'm not even experienced still the animations are youtube worthy. I recommend trying this.

worst website ever I've seen, a lot of bug is the website, they give me 10 download limit in per month and when I create video using animation it's shows a lot of problem, so I lost my download limit for their fault system. whenever I come to support they respond very late. also they provided me video with no problem but they added their watermark in my video. even I am using starter pack. Hello animaker fix your bug first then come to do business.

A mistake that got solved

A mistake happened when I tried to upgrade to the starter plan. Instead of paying 7 USD for the price difference, I ended up with the Pro plan and was charged 28 USD. I am delighted that the support team managed to offer a manual change so I ended up with the plan I originally wanted to try out. Polite and professional support where we came to an agreement on how to best solve the issue. 5 stars!

BEWARE: I was hacked by Animaker

I was hacked by Animaker. I subscribed for 1 month ($35) to try their service and paid via prepaid credit card. After a month, I've been receiving emails from their customer support and a guy named Jerry, and they want me to clear my bill even though I did not apply for another month. They still continue to process the credit card but since it's a prepaid card, the bill did not push through. But to my surprise, they were able to get the details of my other credit card and charged $70. When I checked my Animaker account, there is still a balance due amounting to $70. I immediately reported this to my bank as a fraudulent transaction. I'm concerned about how they charge their clients even though the subscription is monthly and how the hell they were able to access my other credit card. I sent them an email to clarify but no still reply. I have screenshots of the transaction to support this complain.

Constantly dealing with visual glitches in my downloaded videos, glitches that didn't appear in the edit mode. Though Animaker is fairly user-friendly, I would prefer to see them doing more ironing out common glitches and less introducing new features.

Download Error

When I downloaded my videos there was a sound defect that made me had to change the background track and download it again. I don't know why the voice was lower in some parts with this specific track but when I changed it it was okay but unfortunately that took from 2 extra from my free downloads. But the support promised that he will return it back My recommendation is to allow a demo download before the final one just to make sure that nothing is wrong with the final version.

Glitchy Video

The problem was that "I just generated a video and in the generated video, the character 'glitches' from 1:48 seconds to 1:56 seconds. By 'glitching' I mean the character pops in and out, gets partly cut out, and ju7mps from horizontal to vertical (when it should be vertical all the time). It does not do so in the editor screen." Animaker believe or not are just a bunch of Indian scammers who formed a team to offer you a very horrible service to the worldwide customers as they are experts in making you believe in them and then when you are suprised that the service is completely "rip off" and you want a refund .. they welcome you with the most welcoming messages that you refund will be done in 5-7 business days but you keep checking like an idiot each week to find out that you ended up loosing your money and that you paid for a year subscription and you can't even use their horrible service anymore so basically stealing you.

Money hungry scammers

Money hungry scammers. Pretty much the same story as all the bad 1 star reviews.. Signed up for monthly, they charged me for the whole year. Attempted to get my money back and of course their customer service is horrendous because the owner wants to keep every dime. A year later (yesterday), they charged me again when I had no idea my account was still active. $228 going into the trash since I have not used their program once.

In need of refund - abnormal circumstances

I have experiencing some sort of information breech on my computer in the recent past, either that or I need to completely remove my debit card infor from my Google account, because I have seen too many charges on my checking account that I did not authorize. I may have visited the site, but never went through the payment process. So, two of those charges were from Animaker. I remember going to the site and playing around for free, but I know I did not choose to pay for the service because it wasn't quite what I was looking for. However, I had been charged a total of $70. I have been unemployed for several months and I am a single mother. I just recently, like in the last 2 weeks, got a job and haven't been paid my first paycheck yet. When I reached out, I spoke with Abishek who did mention to me, in a very tactful and courteous manner, what your refund policy is. I then explained my extenuating circumstances, and your representative was kind, compassionate, & understanding. They were able to process the refund and save my financial life... for the next week or so, at least. Thank you so much!!!

A little learning curve, but worth it.

I became an Animaker user earlier this year when I needed to create a info-video regarding our academic integrity policy to share with students and parents. I used the free version at first just to make sure I could even figure out how to use Animaker. After a few weeks of playing around with it in my spare time, I decided to upgrade so I could create the video I wanted with fewer limitations. Once I completed the video I ran into a glitch with the downloaded version, but customer service was very quick to assist and get it cleared up for me. I've already made a second video! I learned to keep things clean and simple after the first video and it went much more smoothly. There was a rather large learning curve so I wouldn't recommend jumping into a huge project on a time crunch, but for those who have the time to learn, Animaker is a great tool to have on hand! I'm very pleased with the finished product and have a new appreciation for all those fancy explainer videos out there now that I know how much work goes into them!

Hi. I signed up for Animaker's Pro version and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. The different features are so simple that even a person like me with no background in animations or software could easily understand.... there are more features added regularly too... updation is a constant process. They had given me some time to test the product so I got an idea how to go about making videos. But when you start creating in right earnest, problems crop up. That's when I found out why Animaker stands out from others. Not only were they prompt in their responses, they also explained in detail how to overcome the issues I faced. Of course there are explainer videos which are quite detailed. But they didn't fend me off to learn from the explainer videos on my own... they helped me out step by step.... even for the smallest issue I faced there was help at hand... Ajay

I recently encountered a problem publishing and downloading one of my videos. I explained my problem in the chat and was answered in a matter of minutes. The problem was resolved very quickly without having to go to technical support, and all my exchanges with the people at Animaker were friendly, courteous and professional, as they always are. I am very satisfied with the service they provide. The only issue I have concerns copyright claims on YouTube for the music I use in my videos. The subscription I pay gives me the right to use the music, yet every time I get a copyright claim against me and have to ask Animaker to fix it. They do it immediately every time, so no problem there, but it would be nice if the licence were added to the video automatically.

Product I love using this product. It is very easy to get good at and there are many features that allow me to make professional looking videos in a very short amount of time. Sometimes I wish I could do more, but products that offer more features also have cumbersome interfaces, so I think Animaker meets most of my needs and if I need to add "hot spots" or menus or embedded quizzes, I import my animation into Camtasia and leverage its features. Support Support has always been very fast. I rarely wait longer than 10 min for a response. However, I have had one instance where support took several days. The issue was not the wait but more the promise that "the problems was solved at the root and will never happen again", which wasn't true. It happened 4 more times, and each time took several days. Overall, the support is excellent. 95% of the time, they are quick, courteous, and very accommodating. This one issue I had was the only beef I had because every time it re-occurred, I'd be late on my delivery. I'd have been happier with honesty telling me each time that it wasn't fixed at the root and told that it would take a few days to fix each time. Price The add-ons can add up! If you are just making basic videos and don't care about more diverse avatars and graphics, the basic license is fine. But if you need to have more and better graphics, it will cost you. Some graphics are $15 ea to use once. Of course, if you upgrade your license, you get access to more of them. But that can be quite expensive too. My biggest beef wrt pricing is that it's per download and not per project. I make videos for my job, and each video goes through many reviews and iterations. So, one project may have 5 downloads and each download I only changed a word here and there or replaced an avatar. Each small change burns a download from my subscription. Overall, I really like this product and have 2 paid licenses for it. One for personal use and one for professional use. I have issues with it, but there is no software that doesn't have at least some small problems. So, the minimal problems I have still make it worth the price.

Perfect for my Final Exam

I have a big final exam for English where we are supposed to make a fun video. I wanted to make an animated video but didn't have any drawing skills or the money to afford fancy services! I am so glad I found Animaker! This is fun and free for basic services. I am much more relieved now and just know I will get a good grade. My professors also use this to make basic videos. I found this animation maker accidentally, but I'm glad I did. It is easy to learn and use. My students find it very interesting. The learn the process of animation with characters, props and timelines, audio and visual. The staff behind this app made it very easy to contact if I needed assistance with the app itself. They responded almost immediately to resolve my problems so I could continue using the app in my classroom, without any delays. I really liked the way it shows the features, simple and effective. Publishing the video was also very simple I could use the video anywhere on my computer at home or at work. My students can use it at home and then send me their work just as easily.

Glitches and refund refusal

I signed up for a free trial but numerous glitches and their inability to resolve issues dissuaded me to continue. For example, if you use the same pose for 2 characters they both nod and blink at the same time making your animation look daft. 2 public holidays slowed me down and I missed the 7 day trial deadline by 1 hour. No reminders or notifications of the end of the trial period. They refused to give a refund. I have started using Powtoon instead. Much better service and quality.

Be careful with your money

If you want clear communication don’t go here. I had tried the software out and realized it didn’t work for me. I never signed up for a subscription and never received an email to do so with any invoice. Then a charge showed up on my card. I contacted as I’d never used beyond a day and found out I had been subscribed without my permission. I was initially told they weren’t able to reverse charge then later told they could give 50% back. This despite being a service that was not used or permitted to purchase. Zero care for customer service. I’m sure some people love the product and it’s useful but be very careful.

ANIMAKER SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED .

I subscribed for a monthly plan which went smoothly , fortunately for me I removed the credit card in which I have money and attached another credit card with zero balance . At the end of my monthly subscription they attempted to deduct money for a yearly plan but to no avail cos there was no money in the card . Since then I've been trying to subscribe for a monthly plan but they wouldn't give me that option . Now they are telling me that I have $35 pending payment .

They charge you a year subscription even if you only chose a month and refuse to refund you. Like others have said, it's all a scam and customer support is non existent.

Insincere

Though animaker support team is responsive they do not answer to what is needed. The answers are long-winded, intended to talk about anything but about the issue. I had high hopes for this software but not anymore. After sitting 8 hours with them to explain an issue all I got from them was how to create videos such that the issue does not show up! But the issue will not be fixed and will continue to be there in the software.

Scammed me so badly. Took out $251 from my account, and am still fighting to get it back over 2 months later. The site is designed to scam you and the good reviews are fake. There is no way to contact them but through email, and you're only going to get an automated system unless you keep going 10 emails later. They told me I would get my money back and have yet to get it. I got the BBB on them so we'll see how it goes.

Scam artists. Charged me twice and wouldn't refund me. Made me get a membership, and pay additional to upload a video. I didn't realize it was charging me twice, when I contacted support they are no help at all.

Subscription Payment Problem

My son and I decided to use Animaker to create some videos for our project. Yesterday I made a payment for the Basic plan with my bank card. The first attempt was declared failed, but the money was deducted from my bank card. The second attempt also failed since I didn't have enough funds for it. However, my bank said the first attempt was a success, and there's payment proof for this transaction. I contacted Animaker support specialist today, and the guy said they didn't see this transaction on their side. How could this happen? My first payment attempt is clear evidence that something is wrong with their system.
